DKA Classes
DKA offers three optional supplementary classes as part of our Choices and Supported Employment programs. These classes are designed to help members build practical skills, confidence, and knowledge that can support them throughout their job search and in the workplace. Each class focuses on different areas of personal and professional development, giving members additional opportunities to strengthen their skills and prepare for successful employment.



Personal Development Class

A Step in the Right Direction
Work can be a tremendous blessing, but it can also be extremely stressful. Our Personal Development Class offers two weeks of daily instructions designed to teach you strategies to improve the way you manage the everyday and the unplanned stressors of life. As you prepare for employment, this class will provide you with skills that will improve your symptom self-management and help you gain resilience to the ups and downs of life.

Seeking and Maintaining a job
Work is something we all do every day. We work, whether that be getting dressed, fixing a meal, walking the dog, or going to a formal 9-5 job. Work is a part of our lives whether we like it or not. For some of us however, work has taken on a negative meaning. When we think of work, we think of demands, expectations, stressors, and anxiety.
If you have struggled with finding work, maintaining work, or managing your life around work then this one-on-one class is for you! Our employability skills class will help you make decisions that will enhance your success and enjoyment in the world of work.

Computer Skills Class

We offer one-on-one computer skills classes to our DKA clients. Ask your DKA employment specialist about signing up for computer classes.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced user who just needs a refresher, our computer class can enhance your skills and make you more marketable in today's digital world.
Our one-on-one instruction utilizes the Precipio platform to give you the personalized assistance you need to improve your understanding of how you can use technology such as computers and the internet to help you gain employment.
Classes are typically 1 hr sessions up to 2 times a week, a total of 20-30 hours of instruction depending on each client's needs and abilities and curriculum is individually tailored but could include:
