BIO:

Jorge Ruiz is the face of dkA as the receptionist and Choices Program Assistant.  Clients are greeted with his knowledgeable, professional and inviting presence.  Having been with dk Advocates for over a year, Jorge has become Title 19 certified so that he can assist the clients in obtaining services through the Choices program.  He also assists with all dkA programs by completing administrative duties and providing client support.   Jorge’s dedication to his community is illustrated by his implementation of the “One Can a Week” program that dkA staff participates in weekly.  This program focuses on gathering canned goods in the dkA neighborhood for the local community food bank.  George brings business knowledge that he has obtained while attending Pima Community College that will lead to a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
